Christmas shopping in Barcelona

Temperatures are going down and its getting darker earlier and earlier…

Less than a month before Christmas, a good excuse to go Christmas shopping in Barcelona. During the whole month December Barcelona is filled with cozy Christmas lights and the shops are full of special Christmas ‘’rebajas’’ . The last designer shoes or a beautiful diamond neck less. You can find everything in Barcelona.
Here you can find a little list of the best shops;

- El Corte Inglés one of the biggest department stores in Barcelona. Located at plaza Catalunya, El Corte Inglés is the mother of the Spanish fashion. That means 8 stories of maximum shopping pleasure.

- El Triangle book lovers and beauty queens will love El Triangle at the top of the famous
Ramblas. At Sephora’s you can find every perfume you like or other cosmetics, while at the Fnac you can find almost every book you want to read.

- Maremagum good alternative for Sunday. While all the other shops are closed you can still go to Maremagnum. Located in the old port, this great mall has everything you need. Clothing, souvenirs, or little bars the Maremagnum also has a very nice aquarium.

But where do you need to go in Barcelona for shopping? Well actually you can go everywhere. But 3 quarters are the main shopping quarters of Barcelona. El Born, L’Eixample and Gracia.
Take the map of Barcelona and there certainly miss not Carrer d’ Avinyo,a secret little sinuous alleyway full with little shops. In Eixample get out the metro at ‘’Passeig de Gracia’’ and you will find all the big expensive designer brands. Walk the street up all the way to Avinguda Diagonal, but make sure that you have enough money on your bankaccount. If you want to find artistic design shops go to the quarter Gracia. While shopping you can enjoy drinking a coffee at one of the many sunny squares.
